Castle of Blackwater aims to tackle many of the problems currently experienced in the ‘Play-to-earn’ space, where games lack substance and players are subsequently too focused on grinding for an ever depreciating digital currency. These ‘DeFi-platforms-disguised-as-games’ inadvertently create ponzi schemes, where the first movers can make a quick profit and late adopters suffer huge losses as the player growth stagnates and the underlying digital asset crashes and burns. Inspired by hugely successful P2E games with a clear long term vision and strong game economics, like Splinterlands, Gods Unchained and Sandbox, the economy and Play & Earn model behind Castle of Blackwater will be circular, inclusive, sustainable and scalable.
